And throw in jiu-jitsu world champion in there for good measure.
To say Ronda Rousey is an ambitious person would be an understatement.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion isn’t content with just ruling the mixed martial arts (MMA) world, she wants to dominate the boxing and professional wrestling fields, too.
During a recent media luncheon in Los Angeles, California, Ronda talked about her future aspirations (via FOX Sports):
“What I’d really like to do — and I don’t know if I’ll have the time and I just want to do so many things, but — I want to be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time at any sport. What I would love to do: I got an Olympic medal, I would want to retire from MMA as one of the greatest of all time. I would love to have the chance to be the boxing world champion, and I would love to have the chance to be a jiu-jitsu world champion. I’d love to have the chance to be the Divas world champion and just be the best of everything at one point.”
She already has two of those items marked off her checklist, and she has her foot in the door over at WWE, so a third title could be checked off sooner, rather than later.
Of course, “Rowdy” has so much on her plate at the moment that it would be hard to find the time to accomplish the rest of her sports-oriented goals.
But the judoka — who faces Holly Holm at UFC 193 on Nov. 14, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia — is determined to make it happen.
“How that is possible to do, I’m going to have to figure that out, but I am trying to figure that out. I think if anybody’s capable, I think that I am. I think it’s just a matter of prioritizing and timing and figuring out when I can do which …I’m figuring it out. I’d love to, but it’s a process.”
